I’m not usually one for creamy cocktails, they just always feel too heavy and the calorie count never seems worth it. In fact, the closest thing I usually get to a creamy cocktail is my Skinny Chocolate Cake Martini, and that doesn’t really count because there’s no dairy at all! However, at our recent ugly sweater party, I did come up with an amazingly delicious creamy Winter cocktail that won’t completely destroy your waste line. My Skinny Cinnamon Rum Chata cocktail uses Rum Chata, which is a milky Caribbean rum flavored with vanilla & cinnamon flavors; it tastes exactly like rice pudding (with a big KICK). This skinny cocktail is a MUST TRY, even if you’re not a lover of creamy drinks (like myself)…you won’t be sorry =)
Skinny Cinnamon Rum Chata [cocktail]
recipe makes one cocktail
- 2 oz Rum Chata (one shot plus a little!)
- .75 oz vodka (half a shot)
- 4 oz. skim milk
- optional cinnamon stick for garnish
Mix the Rum Chata, vodka and milk together in a shaker; add ice and shake vigorously for 30 seconds. Pour into a short glass and sprinkle with cinnamon. Add a cinnamon stick for garnish if you wish!
