Today’s amazing “Your Pick” comes from Courtney, who decided to re-purpose & revive an outdated dresser by painting it in a cool grey and white pallet, embellished with the British Union Jack flag {English flag dressers are a fabulous new trend!}. She lightly distressed the piece to give it an authentic, vintage feel.
Courtney saved a sad, old dresser from the junk yard and created a truly incredible piece of furniture. Introducing, Courtney’s Union Jack Dresser….
One more close up, perfection!
Courtney did a great job, she also sells many of her creations at her online shop, Reckless Glamour. Share your thoughts & rate Courtney’s Union Jack Dresser below!
OMG. Speechless. I’ve been wanting to make a piece like this for longest time. Love, love, love!!
Courtney, this came out so good! Can I ask how you painted on the flag? Did you make some kind of template?
Nailed it! I’m doing this. What type of paint was used on this? Did you sand the dresser down at all first?
Thanks 🙂
Hi! Thanks guys! I used Annie Sloan chalk paint. I didn’t make a template just measured and marked off with painters tape. I would be lying if I told you it wasn’t a pain in the butt but well worth the result. You can check out my whole post about it on my blog too for more info…
Courtney,
Thanks for the info! I’m going to try making one soon. Thinking of painting a piece in duck egg blue with a Union Flag in pale yellow contrast? And maybe a some coral color to spice it up! I will def share when I do it 🙂
That color combo sounds fab!
Wow! It doesn’t even look like the same piece, that is an awesome dresser. It looks like something out of a store, really beautifully done.
Taking the orevivew, this post hits the spot
This is incredible! Thanks for the inspiration….I just pinned this.
